Albums are not the whole catalogue
Nine studio albums undersells the output badly. Alongside them sit twenty-six mixtapes, three compilations, three EPs and over a hundred singles. Several of the mixtapes outperformed the albums: AI YoungBoy 2 topped the Billboard 200 in 2019, and Richest Opp reached number four in 2024. Lists that fold those into the album count are wrong, and it is an easy mistake to make given how little the release strategy distinguishes them.
The chart record
Gaulden is the youngest artist in history to place a hundred singles on the Billboard Hot 100. "Outside Today" from 2018 was his first top-forty single and is certified quadruple platinum. Top and Sincerely, Kentrell both reached number one. Across the catalogue he has accumulated roughly fifteen billion YouTube views.
The mixtape years
Eight mixtapes between 2015 and 2017, made in and around Baton Rouge and released independently. The AI YoungBoy and Mind of a Menace series built the regional following that Atlantic and Artist Partner Group signed in 2017. Those tapes remain the reference point for listeners who argue his early work is his best.

In August 2026 Gaulden said he expects to make one or two more albums and tour once more before stepping back, adding that music is no longer his focus. Whether that holds is another question, but it is the clearest signal he has given about the end of the run.
