Background
He was released on probation in April 2025 after years of house arrest and custody, and on 28 May 2025 received a presidential pardon that closed the federal case which had constrained his career for half a decade. MASA, short for Make America Slime Again, followed on 25 July.
The singles
"Shot Callin" and "Where I Been" arrived on 2 May 2025 as his first releases after being freed. "Finest" was surprise-released to his YouTube channel on 22 May before reaching streaming services the following day. "Top Tingz" was issued as the album's single on 23 May.
Guest appearances and production
Playboi Carti appears on "Fire Your Manager" and Mellow Rackz elsewhere. Production is led by Cheese with MarsGawd, LondnBlue, Mally Mall, Simo Fre and TnTXD, across a credit list running to dozens of names.
The MASA Tour
The Make America Slime Again Tour ran from 1 September to 12 November 2025 across forty-two shows, with support from Offset, NoCap, Toosii, DeeBaby and others. It drew 553,565 people and grossed $69,820,786 — by far the most significant touring of his career, and the first sustained run he had been legally able to do.
Reception
At thirty tracks and ninety-four minutes it is not short, but the mood is markedly brighter than its predecessor, swinging between Louisiana street rap and outright power ballads. It was widely treated as a genuine return.

The tone
Thirty tracks and ninety-four minutes, and markedly brighter than I Just Got a Lot on My Shoulders. It swings between bouncy Louisiana street rap and outright power ballads, and the opener sets the tone with the national anthem played on electric guitar.
