Background
Days before the intended release he was arrested on a range of charges. He spent much of 2024 in a Utah county jail and later accepted a plea deal in a long-running federal gun case, receiving a twenty-seven month sentence. The album came out on 6 December 2024 into that situation.
No guest appearances
It is the only album in his catalogue with no features at all. Production came from his regular engineer and producer Cheese alongside Al Geno, Ayo Bleu, Bnyx, D-Roc, OG Parker, PlayboyXO and TayTayMadeIt.
Commercial performance
It peaked at number 153 on the Billboard 200, his lowest-charting release since the 2017 mixtape Ain't Too Long. The collapse is almost entirely explained by circumstance: there was no promotion, no interviews and no artist available to do any of it.
Reception
Reviews were more positive than the chart position, with the forty-six minute runtime and the absence of guests both singled out as improvements. It has a small reputation as an underrated record in his catalogue.
The arrest
He was arrested days before the intended release date on a range of charges, spent much of 2024 in a Utah county jail, and accepted a plea deal in a long-running federal gun case that carried a twenty-seven month sentence. The album came out on 6 December into that.
No promotion at all
There were no interviews, no videos and no artist available to do any of it. Number 153 on the Billboard 200 is almost entirely a function of that rather than of the record.
The critical reassessment
Reviews were noticeably warmer than the chart position, with the forty-six-minute runtime and the complete absence of guests both singled out as improvements. It has a small but real reputation as the underrated record in his catalogue.
