NBA YoungBoy's tour history

Updated 2026-09-02

One of the most-streamed rappers alive spent most of his career legally unable to tour. When he finally could, he grossed nearly seventy million dollars in ten weeks.

Why the touring record is so thin

Gaulden built an enormous audience without the thing that normally builds one. Legal restrictions, house arrest and custody kept him off the road for years at a stretch, and for most of his career the live business that would ordinarily be an artist's largest income stream simply did not exist for him. The financial consequences are covered here.

The early runs

He toured in support of the early Atlantic releases, but the runs were short and repeatedly interrupted. Dates were cancelled at short notice on more than one occasion for reasons outside his control, and promoters treated him as a risk long after his streaming numbers made him a safe bet on paper.

Still Flexin, Still Steppin Tour, 2020

Named after the February 2020 mixtape and staged during his commercially strongest year. It was curtailed like almost everything else scheduled in 2020, and it remained his most substantial touring effort for the following five years.

The years off the road

Between 2020 and 2025 he released four studio albums and a large number of mixtapes without any sustained touring at all. He was arrested in late 2024, spent much of that year in a Utah county jail, and accepted a plea deal in a long-running federal gun case carrying a twenty-seven month sentence. The album released into that period is here.

The pardon

He was released on probation in April 2025 and received a presidential pardon on 28 May 2025, closing the federal case that had constrained him for half a decade. Everything about his touring career changed at that moment.

The Make America Slime Again Tour, 2025

His fourth concert tour and by an enormous margin his largest. It ran from 1 September to 12 November 2025 across forty-two shows, with support from Offset, NoCap, Toosii, DeeBaby, K3, Lil Dump and Baby Mel.

What the numbers mean

Gross is not take-home — production, venues, promoters and support acts all come out of it first, and an arena run of that scale carries substantial costs. Even so, a $69.8 million gross in ten weeks is comfortably the largest earning event of his career and the clearest evidence of what the touring restrictions had been costing him.

2026 and Rolling Loud

The MASA run extended into 2026 with festival dates including Rolling Loud in Orlando in May. Slime Cry arrived in January and a supporting tour was widely expected.

The retirement statement

In August 2026 he told the interview show Open Thoughts with Funny Marco that he expects to tour only once more in his life, and that music is no longer where his focus sits. Given that he had only just started touring properly, that is a considerable thing to say.

The live reputation

Reviews of his shows have been genuinely polarised for years — audiences report both career-defining nights and sets cut short after a handful of songs. That inconsistency is part of why promoters were cautious, and the MASA run's scale suggests it has been resolved.
